Have you heard about NBC’s game show The Wall?
If you are looking for a fun, addictive TV show the entire family can watch you have to check this family friendly TV show out. Not only do they have an enormous wall, this show has an enormous heart too and here’s why.
I recently got the chance to go to a special charity taping of the wall where kids played the game to win money for the charity of their choice.
Kids competed for causes like St. Jude’s, Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, and my daughter CeCe played for Help Us Adopt, an amazing charity that helps families pay adoption expenses.
We were given the VIP treatment and escorted to their set on the Warner Bros. lot in Burbank. It was a blast to see the HUGE, amazing set in person. The set of The Wall is like stepping into a futuristic Star Wars arena. Glowing lights, glowing ginormous balls dropping from an enormous wall. I got excited just seeing the set in person.
All the kids got a chance to compete and one by one got the chance to drop the ball down The Wall, charities won cash, and the producers donated money to every single charity just for showing up.
Here’s CeCe explaining the work of Help Us Adopt to the show’s executive producer, Andrew Glassman.
The kids had a blast!
It was so great to see a show devoting their time off to helping others. And I learned that the producers work really hard to find contestants for the show who are deserving, kind people. (In my book, it makes it even more fun to root for these contestants when I know the people winning are good people.)
I cannot say enough amazing things about the generosity of The Wall producers Andrew Gassman and his team for helping these charities and for showing our kids how to give back to our world.
And I’ve heard that one of the producers is some guy named LeBron James. You might have heard of him, I think he plays basketball? (JK, even a non-sporty mom type like me knows who he is!)
The Wall returns to TV on Monday, May 8, 10pm/9 central.
And here’s information on the awesome charity that gives adoption grants to families, Help Us Adopt.
And a huge thank you to Andrew Glassman, the staff, and crew of The Wall for their generosity.
We’ll be watching the next time the ball drops on May 8. Hope you’ll help support this fun, family friendly TV show that’s changing lives!
