The Heeled Loafers and Blanket Coat to jazz up your Fall Style.
I’ve been eyeing some heeled loafers to add to my Fall wardrobe, but some of the loafers I tried on felt way too “Old Librarian” for me.
I loved the idea of them but they felt so DOWDY! But then I spied these lace up boots at Nordstrom that seem to be part heeled loafer but with some boot swagger thrown in.
And bonus? They are really comfortable.
So far I’ve worn them to a Stanford Football tailgate and football game and a jaunt around the Rodin sculpture garden at the Cantor Arts Museum. And I didn’t want to take them off.
They have a wooden heel and rugged lug sole bottoms. This style comes in a taupe color too, which might be a good color to add to my wardrobe later in the season.
The heel height is comfortable for walking but still has some height to make you feel “dressed”.
And of course what do you need to go with your new fab loafer/boot/awesomeness? A blanket coat of course…..
The Blanket Coat You Will Totally Want to Grab This Fall.
My new Fall blanket coat from Francesca’s! I’m always cold so I thought a warm, easy to wear blanket coat would be a great Fall staple. Found this one and love the color, the pattern and the price!
It’s a wrap style jacket in a grey and black pattern. I got it in Medium so there would be room to layer sweater underneath when it gets cooler.
And a warning: the sleeves are cut very narrow. The small fit me everywhere but the arms were tight with just one shirt on underneath. I’d order up a size larger to make sure it fits your arms!
I tried a little patterning mixing by adding this blue plaid shirt, also from Francesca’s (and a total deal at $38). The fabric is really soft. The shirt’s fit is flattering without being tight.
Here’s the shopping details:
Biala Gia Booties from Nordstrom
Marco Southwestern Blanket Coat from Francesca’s
Tacoma Plaid Buttoned Blouse from Francesca’s
Hope you enjoyed seeing some of my Fall favorites!
Have you tried heeled loafers or a blanket coat yet for this season?
