Here’s the review of my Stitch Fix Fall Box and the Casual Fashion Over 40 essentials inside.
It’s Fall here in Los Angeles but you’ve never know it by the temperature. Thank Goodness my Stitch Fix stylists are really good about sending “Fall” clothes that I can still wear in 85 degree weather!
If you aren’t familiar with Stitch Fix, it’s a fashion subscription service that delivers stylist selected clothing right to your front door. The service has definitely helped me expand my style.
So, here are the goodies that I got in this Fall Stitch Fix box:
Moni Geo Print and Camisole Blouse.
Like so many things I get in my Stitch Fix box, I pulled it out and wasn’t sure if the color and print were my style. But my rule with Stitch Fix is to at least try everything on. So glad that I did. I paired this with my Kut From the Kloth boyfriend jeans from my June Stitch Fix review. I think this will be a go-to outfit for school pickups and casual everyday wear.
The Lucianna Dress.
The weight of this dress is perfect for our warmer climate. I think it’s cute and could be paired with tights and booties and paired with a blazer to layer and wear as it gets cooler, but I’m not that much of a floral print person.
I think I’m sending it back. What do you think of this dress?
Angus Split Back Mixed Material Sweater
I still love my black! This lightweight sweater is a complete hit!
Yes, it’s basic black but it has interesting details like elbow patches, a sheer insert, and buttons up the back.
I can see layering this with a black cami or short sleeved tee for cooler weather. Flattering.
Lucilla Faux Leather Detail Skinny Pant
I’d been seeing the trends of faux leather pants and trims and wanted to incorporate it in a way that was edgy but still felt right for fashion over 40. I love these pants with the faux leather detail down the sides and along the waistband.
These legging/pants are stretchy and comfortable. How cute is that faux leather stripe running down the side! Just enough leather to feel on trend without being overwhelming.
And a total bonus, love them with my lace up boots from Nordstrom. The most comfortable boots with a lug sole and wooden heel from a previous blog post. I’ve worn these so often I’m thinking about getting them in the taupe color too.
Leighton Metal Bauble Necklace
Stitch Fix has really helped select some more “statement” necklaces to amp up my existing wardrobe. This silver necklace adjusts in the back so that you can wear longer as I’ve worn it or shorter for a more choker type necklace. I know I’ll get lots of wear out of it all season long.
If you haven’t tried Stitch Fix yet, give it a try and see if they help you take your style to another level.
I’m a fan (and so is Custard, she only wishes that they made clothes in her size too!)
