The best makeup for mature skin. Le Metier, anti-aging foundation.

I’ve found that one of the best makeups for mature skin is Le Metier De Beaute’s Peau Vierge. This foundation has anti-aging ingredients that help reduce redness, reduce large pores and helps restore the glow to your skin.

My skin isn’t so bad over all, but being over 40, I’ve got some, shall we say, “concerns”. My skin isn’t as even as it once was, and I’ve got some discoloration and brown spots to show from all those childhood summers blissfully frolicking without sunscreen.

I’d been using a tinted moisturizer because I really don’t like cake-y base foundation, and especially in the summer I love a light “no-makeup” look.

The only problem? My sheer tinted moisturizer didn’t even begin to cover the uneven skin tone and brown spots that continue to surface on my face.

I’ve just found my favorite new product that’s light, gives great sheer coverage and huge bonus, is a full on skin care treatment that heals and correct those skin issues at the same time.

What’s the miracle product?

Le Metier De Beaute’s Peau Vierge, one of the best makeup for mature skin that I’ve found.

This makeup foundation has powerful anti-aging ingredients designed for mature skin.

Peau Vierge is not just a tinted sunscreen but a complete anti-aging skin treatment that contains retinol, the gold standard treatment for fine lines, wrinkles, and uneven skin tone. Peau Vierge Anti-Aging Complexe contains a proprietary delivery system called Syntoc Actif. This technology aids in the delivery of the treatment’s key skin refining ingredients. This lightweight formula contains Vitamin A, C, and E, ginseng extract and hyaluronic acid so it practically glides on. I’ve got sensitive skin and sometime retinol products make me break out, but no irritation or reaction to this product at all.

Peau Vierge is the best makeup for mature skin and the way it covers the skin is amazing. I was seriously surprised at the coverage! Peau Vierge goes on sheer yet still covers the unevenness without that “made up” look, it covers any redness and light reflecting particles soften and diffuse fine lines. Your skin looks dewey, fresh and moisturized. I use a small pea sized amount each morning and then use my concealer on top of Peau Vierge for any extra coverage underneath my eyes.

It has an SPF of 18 so I wear this daily in place of my old tinted moisturizer and sunscreen.

I love the fact that I’m not just camouflaging my skin issues but actively treating them. I’ve even fallen asleep in this makeup (I know-BAD) and my skin felt softer for it.

This one product has helped me streamline my morning routine. I use fewer products and get out the door faster.

I knew I needed this product when I met Le Metier’s De Beaute’s makeup artist Mishel Brown Garrison at Neiman Marcus Beverly Hills. The first thing I noticed about her was her luminous flawless skin. THIS product is her secret weapon (but not so secret anymore!)

Since I’ve been using this product, my skin feels softer. I’ve even gotten compliments on how great my skin looks. That’s certainly a solid endorsement for a new product.

Peau Vierge comes in two tints.

Shade 2: beige (the shade that I used).

Shade 3:  for skin with golden undertones. (This shade can be mixed with deeper foundation for darker skin tones.)

I follow up Peau Vierge with these Le Metier De Beaute products:

The Cheeky Chic Blush Kaleidoscope. A great blush palette for travel, 4 colors in a stacking disc. I usually use the pink and add the shimmer on top to lightly highlight my cheekbones.

Lip Crème Lip Gloss, a genius hybrid of lipstick and lip gloss in one. Sheen without being sticky. I use the Papaya Creme for a natural neutral lip.

Dualistic Eye Pencil in Champagne. Soft, doesn’t tug and a wonderful subtle brown. I use it for my brows and as a liner.

I’m a huge fan of this makeup line.

Have you tried Le Metier De Beaute? Or Peau Vierge? What did you think?

(The coral cutout top I’m wearing in these pics is from Stitch Fix. Here’s my recent review of this fashion subscription service.)

Have a beautiful day!

  • Now that I'm in my 30's it's time starting buying "real" beauty products. You look great! I'd love to give this a try!

  • At 36, I tend to go for the tinted moisturizers too. How great that you were able to meet the artists themselves! I'll have to be on the lookout for that product!

  • Love tinted moisturizers and the one you reviewed looks amazing. I've always hated foundation because it's just too perfect and sometimes just looks too "made-up". Thanks!

    • Hey! I have found it at Neiman Marcus in Los Angeles and I think you can find it there online as well. Good luck!
