I’d read The Happiness Project and loved her informative and approachable style. Her new podcast, Happier, is all about ways to build happier habits into your daily life. She co-hosts the podcast with her sister and TV writer, Elizabeth Craft (who she refers to as her reluctant happiness guinea pig).
The podcast is like having coffee with two really smart and funny girlfriends. They talk about the happiness tips and research but they also discuss how they’ve used them in their own full, chaotic lives with spouses and kids. It’s wonderful to hear their own struggles with staying upbeat in the midst of their daily lives. Nothing puts happiness tips to test quite like a busy woman!
I’ve been listening to these podcasts while I walk in my neighborhood and my walks are now way more enjoyable. Sometimes I have to walk around the block a few more times so I can finish the episode. (That might be a happiness tip on exercise right there-listen to podcasts might make your butt smaller since it keeps you walking.)
I’ve put some of the tips to work so far. I’ve set an alarm to remind me to go to bed (a great tip) and figured out that I’m an abstainer. A great tip to help me resist my own personal nemesis-French fries!
