Love Margaritas but hate the huge calories?
Here’s a fresh, delicious and low cal margarita recipe that replaces fresh lime juice to lower the calories to a scant 100.
Did you know that most margaritas have over 600 calories? Yikes!! That’s enough to ruin a good night of Mexican food before you even get to the tacos.
Here’s a low-calorie margarita recipe to lighten up this favorite summer refreshment.
I just found this great recipe called the Skinny Coco Margarita, from top L.A. nutritionist Marlyn Diaz, The Holistic Nutritionista and had to share. It’s yummy!
The recipe replaces sugary pre-made margarita mix with fresh lime juice and coconut water. That not only cuts the calories and sugar, but the coconut water adds electrolytes and vitamin C.
Nutritionist Marlyn Diaz of The Holistic Nutritionista also suggests an organic tequila brand, 4 Copas. (Who knew that there was such a thing as an organic tequila!?)
Here’s the recipe on Marlyn’s site. Now you can indulge in a margarita and still fit into those skinny jeans!

Enjoy this delicious low cal margita recipe anytime. In my book you don’t have to wait for a Mexican feast to enjoy!
