My Stitch Fix Review July 2015: A box full of polished summer essentials
Just got my July Stitch Fix box. I was so excited to break it open and see what goodies were waiting inside. (It’s like Christmas in July!)
Thank goodness another shipment arrived this monthly because the shirts and jeans from last month’s box had become the backbone of my wardrobe. I needed some other essentials to add into the summertime rotation.
I’d been very specific and requested a summer weight jacket that would pair with my Stitch Fix tops.
I love the boyfriend jeans from June’s box so much (and since I wear blue jeans every single day) I requested another pair of jeans.
I asked my stylist to maybe send another fit for me to try (bootcut, flare, trouser, etc.) to expand my denim wardrobe.
I added a note to my stylist outlining exactly what I thought I needed.
Brittany my stylist did it again. She truly listened and understood what I requested. I loved everything in the box, and most importantly it worked well with the colorful tops I’d already gotten last month.
The essentials in this July box all coordinate with my previous month’s box.
Here’s the breakdown:
Blue Kaylie Chevron Blazer.
This knit blazer has a subtle Chevron pattern to it. It’s a great weight and is super comfy since it’s a knit. I can see this transitioning easily into Fall. I’m wearing it with the boyfriend jeans from my June Stitch Fix. (here’s the review and info on these jeans.)
The blazer is well made with fabric covered buttons.
I added these Seychelles Slam wedges from Nordstrom (which are on sale right now!)
Cobalt Pixley Miandra Embroidered Top
I’ve been really impressed with the details on all the Stitch Fix tops I’ve received. The embroidered detail on this shirt makes it feel much more special.
I’ve paired it with the Danielle Long Knot necklace in Silver. Love the length. Very dramatic worn as is but can also be worn looped two or three times. (I might even try to wrap around my wrist as a chunky bracelet.)
I’ve paired the Pixley top with the Kut from the Kloth Goldie Flare Jeans in Light Blue.
These flared jeans are wonderful. Stretchy, comfortable and hold their shape. I walked out in them and my boyfriend remarked, “Those jeans look amazing on you.” When a man notices and says something looks good on you? Sold!
The flared fit feels really fresh after all the skinny jeans of the past few seasons. (I’ve worn these flares with the Seychelles Slam wedges above.)
Gilli Teal Green Kadence Cowl Drape Front Dress
I don’t wear dresses that often with my super casual California kinda life, but when I do need one I really need an easy effortless throw-it-on-and-go kinda dress. This cowl drape front dress is perfect. I’ll be wearing it to church, theater, and probably some parent night events at my daughter’s school. (I can also see wearing it with tights and a blazer for Fall.)
And yet again, it gets me out of my black dress stupor. (I’ve paired it with the Danielle Long Knot necklace.)
I like the shirring details on this dress. It’s curve hugging but not too tight and the shirring is very forgiving.
And found these great pewter metallic shoes at Nordstrom, Manna Ankle strap sandal (and on sale too! woo hoo!!) These heels are surprisingly comfortable.
Metallic seems like a basic, I can see wearing these with boyfriend jeans and the blazer too.
Have you tried Stitch Fix yet? Would love to hear your experiences!
